These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Georgii Shilovskii, an individual developer ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of the JSON Pilot application ("JSON Pilot" or the "App"), contactable at support@shilovskii.dev.
By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use JSON Pilot.
JSON Pilot is a native JSON viewer and editor for iPhone, distributed through the App Store. It runs locally on your iPhone — no accounts, no servers, no telemetry. The core viewer, editor, validator, exporter, save / share / copy, search, and Recents are free forever. "Pro" features (the on-device AI assistant, JSON Diff, JSONPath, format conversion, the HTTP request tool, auto-fix, and themes) are unlocked by a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription, priced in the App Store and billed by Apple. All your data lives on your iPhone; we never receive it and cannot recover it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use JSON Pilot on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Usage Rules and these Terms. You may not redistribute, sublicence, rent, lease, or resell JSON Pilot, nor remove any proprietary notices from it.
You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble JSON Pilot except as permitted by applicable law or the App Store EULA, (b) circumvent any technical mechanism that gates Pro features, or (c) use JSON Pilot to violate any law or another person's rights.
When you use the built-in HTTP request tool to send a request to a third-party server, you are responsible for ensuring you are authorised to do so and that your request complies with the receiving server's terms of service and applicable law.
JSON Pilot stores everything it handles (JSON documents you open or paste, your edits, your settings, your Pro entitlement cache) locally on your iPhone. We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of it. You are solely responsible for backing up your local data and your originating files, and for any consequences of their loss.
We do not provide a recovery mechanism for data lost due to disk failure, device loss, software bugs, or your own deletions. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
The AI assistant in JSON Pilot is powered by Apple Foundation Models — an on-device large language model that ships as part of Apple Intelligence in iOS. The assistant generates text based on the JSON document you have open and the questions you ask. Generated text may be incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or — in rare cases — inappropriate. Do not rely on it for safety-critical, legal, medical, financial, or other consequential decisions without independent verification. You are solely responsible for evaluating the AI's output before acting on it or sharing it.
Because the AI assistant relies on Apple Intelligence as delivered in iOS, your use of it is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices for Apple Intelligence (see apple.com/legal). The Foundation Models framework, as exposed to third-party apps, runs strictly on-device; Apple's Private Cloud Compute is not invoked by our AI assistant.
The assistant requires an Apple-Intelligence-capable iPhone; on other devices it is automatically unavailable. We make no representation that any specific device will support the assistant in the future, and we are not responsible for changes Apple makes to the underlying Apple Intelligence service, including changes that may affect availability, behaviour, or output quality.
JSON Pilot, its source code, branding, and documentation are owned by us and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. JSON Pilot uses Apple's frameworks only and bundles no third-party SDKs.
If you send us questions, feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you agree that we may use them without obligation, attribution, or compensation, for the purpose of operating and improving JSON Pilot.
We may release updates that add, modify, or remove features. Some changes may affect compatibility with older versions of iOS; we currently target iOS 26.4 and later. Updates are distributed through the App Store.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
In particular, we make no warranty that the AI assistant will return any specific answer, that any JSON document will be retained for any specific time, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF JSON PILOT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF JSON PILOT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (THROUGH APPLE) FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You may stop using JSON Pilot and cancel any active subscription at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections 4 through 11 survive termination.
You and we acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We — not Apple — are solely responsible for JSON Pilot and its content. To the extent these Terms grant rights or remedies inconsistent with the App Store Terms of Service, the App Store Terms control.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance of these Terms, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to JSON Pilot. Any claim relating to JSON Pilot's failure to conform to any applicable warranty may be directed to Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (where applicable). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to JSON Pilot.
You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo, and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Mexican States (Estados Unidos Mexicanos), without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts of Mérida, Yucatán, México shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under these Terms.
Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the jurisdiction in which you habitually reside.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Last updated date above will reflect the current version. Continued use of JSON Pilot after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
